Initial Configuration

Complete these essential configuration steps to get started with Central Bot.

Basic Configuration

Opens the configuration menu

Usage: /config

Required Settings

Essential Configuration:
1. High Rank Role
   - Required for administrative commands
   - Sets permission baseline

2. System Messages Channel
   - Where bot notifications are sent
   - Staff announcements and logs

3. Command Prefix
   - Default: "-"
   - Customizable for text commands
You must complete initial configuration before enabling other modules.

Setup Process

Follow these steps to complete initial configuration:

  1. Use the /config command to open configuration menu
  2. Select "Initial Configuration" from the dropdown
  3. Set your High Rank role
  4. Choose your System Messages channel
  5. Optionally customize your command prefix
  6. Save your configuration

Additional Modules

After completing initial setup, you can configure additional modules:

  • Sessions
  • Staff Management
  • Welcome System
  • ER:LC API
  • Staff Requests
  • Ban Appeals
  • Leave of Absences (LOAs)
  • Anti Ping
Each module can be configured independently after completing initial setup.

Permissions Structure

Permission Levels:
• Administrator : Full bot control
• High Rank     : Administrative commands
• Moderator     : Moderation commands
• Staff        : Basic staff features
• Members       : Basic commands

Command Prefix Usage

The command prefix is used for text-based commands:

  • -help - Shows command list
  • -ping - Checks bot status
  • -say - Makes bot say a message
  • -id - Gets user ID
Slash commands ("/") work regardless of prefix setting.

Verification

After configuration, verify your setup:

  1. Check High Rank role permissions
  2. Test system messages channel
  3. Verify prefix functionality
  4. Review bot permissions
